Linux din subteran

Cum stateam IO asa si asteptam metroul ascultand Altar si citind Catavencu, se termina bateria. Deci stop mp3. Ei bine cat ma scobeam dupa bateria de schimb, prinsai o discutie.
Doi pustani, anul I de facultate, genul ala de in liceu au avut veleitati de olimpici si n`au sarutat o fata pana acum. Si cum probabil inca nu li se uscase bine scuipatul de pe ghiozdan, scuipat generat de bagabon?ii liceului, discutau despre eternul subiect comun al geek`ului in devenire inginer al patriei: calculatoarele.

Microsoft WGA 500

Asta se traduce in serverul/ele Microsoft responsabile cu validarile, au cam crapat. Ce inseamna asta pentru utilizatorii de Vista ? Ca daca`i dau restart, pierd interfata AERO si alte feature`uri. XP, nu se valideaza.
Cica Microsoft incearca sa repare chestia asta pana marti.

After several email excahnges with Microsoft on validation problems, I just received this:

Thank you for your response.
I’m sorry to inform you that the Windows Genuine server might be down for few days. I have escalate the issue to our Genuine team, kindly try to validate again on Tuesday 28 Aug 2007.
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Technical Support.

Ok, so we can’t go back to XP either. I guess it’s time to uninstall all Microsoft OSes and go to Linux. Try Ubuntu, it’s now on one of my computers that I was going to install Vista on. I was also about to purchase a copy of vista for my daughters computer, but I’ll let it die with XP on it. I’m not buying any more microsoft products. Between activation and this genuine ***, I’m done.

So, the reason we should try to revalidate on Tuesday is because:

Saturday: Microsoft employees are off
Sunday: Microsoft employees are off
Monday afternoon: By fluke, someone from the WGA team will come across this problem while trying to install some MS software. 4 hours of meetings will be had
Monday evening: Microsoft employees are off
Tuesday morning: WGA server will be rebooted
